Then there’s the Ergohuman V2, or just ‘Ergohuman.’ This one’s been around forever in the office chair world. It’s built just for keeping your spine happy. It’s perfect if you sit for hours and hours. Its big thing is that cool mesh design. That means it breathes really, really well.
They both adjust a lot, but in different ways. The Secretlab has this ‘L-ADAPT’ system for your lower back. You actually twist knobs to set how deep and high you want it. So it’s very fixed once you set it. The head pillow is magnetic, which is kinda neat. But some people think it’s too hard or just doesn’t sit right for them. But the armrests? They’re amazing. Almost like you’re being hugged. If you like a softer start and feeling ‘cradled,’ you’d probably like this one. Plus, you get to pick the material you want.
The Ergohuman is mostly mesh. That’s awesome if you get hot easily. Or if you live somewhere warm. Because it breathes so well. It spreads your weight out evenly. And it’s supportive without feeling super soft. But some people find mesh a bit firm. It’s not as plush as a padded seat, you know?
Design-wise, the Secretlab still looks like a gaming chair. Even though it works for offices now. It has that racing seat look. With big side parts and stitching. That’s cool for some people. But it might look a bit out of place in a really plain or fancy office. You can get it in tons of colors, though. That’s fun for showing your personality.
The Ergohuman? That’s definitely an office chair. Its design is much more about function and looks simple. It’ll fit right into almost any professional space. The open mesh design makes it look lighter and more modern too. It’s not trying to be flashy at all. It just wants to do its job well.
Both chairs are super well-built, though. Secretlab chairs are like tanks, seriously. They use steel frames and tough materials. They even give you a long warranty. Everything just feels really solid and made to last. The Ergohuman also has a strong frame, usually aluminum. And really good mesh that should keep its shape over time. The mesh is tough, but maybe the fabric on the Secretlab is a little easier to care for than the mesh, depending on the material.
So, which one’s better? Honestly, it just depends on what you like. Both are amazing chairs if you sit for hours and hours. Think about if you like a padded seat or mesh. Do you want that gaming look or a more classic office style? Also, do you want the back support to move with you, or stay fixed in one spot? Either way you go, you’re really investing in your comfort and how well you work. The Ergohuman is famous for its super adjustable back support. And that breathable mesh is great for long days. The Secretlab is really adjustable too, with a comfy but firm seat. But it just has a stronger gaming vibe to it.
