Plus, there’s this tech called RightLight 2 that tries to make you look good even if your lighting isn’t perfect. It even has pretty decent microphones built right in. So, it’s a solid, all-in-one package for your daily video calls.
Then we have the Razer Kiyo Pro. This is a newer kind of webcam. It was actually designed for people who stream games, but it’s totally awesome for work too if you really care about looking your best. The coolest part about it is this special STARVIS sensor. It’s amazing in low light. Like, seriously good. Even if your room is a bit dim, you’ll still look bright and clear. It can give you super smooth 1080p video at 60 frames per second. Or, if you want better colors and shadows, it can do 30 frames with HDR turned on. It has a wide-angle lens that’s tough, protected by Gorilla Glass. And you can even change how wide the picture is. Just so you know, it needs a faster USB 3.0 port.
Okay, so both cameras do 1080p. But the Kiyo Pro really steps it up because it can hit 60 frames per second. That means your video will look way smoother, which is nice if you tend to move a bit during calls, or just want that extra polished look. The biggest difference, though, is how they handle bad lighting. The Kiyo Pro’s special STARVIS sensor is a game-changer there. Where the C920 might get noisy or look dark in a dim room, the Kiyo Pro keeps everything clear and colors accurate. It minimizes that grainy look. Also, the Kiyo Pro has this HDR option at 30fps. It helps make the contrast better and shows more detail in shadows, especially in tricky lighting. The C920 doesn’t have that feature.
Now, about the view. The C920 gives you a fixed 78-degree view. That’s usually fine if it’s just you sitting at your desk. But the Kiyo Pro is much more flexible. You can actually adjust how wide the shot is. You can pick 80, 90, or even 103 degrees. That’s super handy. You can get a close-up of yourself, or zoom out a bit to show more of your background, or even fit another person in the frame if needed. It’s a lot more versatile for different setups.
